Set at 7,000 feet under the cool shade of ponderosa pines bordering the Coconino National Forest and on historic Route 66, this KOA is a hub for exploring the Grand Canyon and other attractions. In the summer, ride the nearby Skyride up to 11,500 feet for a view of the Grand Canyon area and the city of Flagstaff. Set out on hiking trails from your campsite. Or go east, where a paved walkway leads into Walnut Canyon and its ancient cliff dwellings.

At Kit Carson, you’ll find pine tree lined shady spaces with lots of wildlife. We don’t have paved roads or a swimming pool. We keep the park in its natural environment. We’re close to shopping as well as summer/winter activities. Twenty miles south of us in the beautiful red rock country of Sedona. The Grand Canyon is 75 senic miles away. While you’re here, take a drive up to the Snow Bowl, 15 miles out of town, or visit the Lowell Observatory, only minutes away.
